Tomorrow Chris Dudley is going to be in holding a series of meet and greets in Tillamook, Astoria and St. Helens. State Senate candidate Bob Horning (SD16) will be attending the events. I hear candidate Lew Barnes (HD32) will be attending a few of these. I’ll be at the St. Helens event and possibly Astoria.

Assoc. of Citizens and Businesses in Columbia County Forum

Tonight the Association of Citizens and Businesses in Columbia County held a candidate forum at the Grace Lutheran Fellowship Church in Scappoose. It was filled with great candidates and good questions.  Thank you to everyone that attended and all those that participated.

Event! Astoria AAUW Forum

The Astoria chapter of the American Association of University Women, and along with Clatsop Community College, is sponsoring a Candidate Forum on Thursday, October 14 at 7 pm at the Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center, 16th and Franklin, Astoria, OR. 

I’ll be there and so will other great candidates like Bob Horning and Lew Barnes. Hope to see you there!

Petition for Candidate Statement

I need your help! I am petitioning for my candidate statement in the Oregon Voter’s Pamphlet for this 2010 General Election. We need to get 300 signatures by Aug. 24th, 2010. I bet each and every Oregonian following this list can easily find 10 family members, friends and neighbors to sign the petition. It’ll be easy and fun!

Here is quick info from page one of the petition:

  • Write the petition ID number provided by the Elections Division in the field in the upper right corner of the petition signature sheet
  • Attach a copy of the statement to each petition signature sheet and circulate for signatures. No more than five signature sheets

may be attached to any one copy of the statement

Guidelines for Circulation of Petition (ORS 260.555, 260.560)

Petition Circulator

  • Must ensure all active registered voters who sign a single signature sheet are residents of the same county
  • Must personally sign their legal signature on the petition circulator’s certification
  • Must provide the date when the certification was signed and must not collect any other signatures on that sheet

Person Who Signs Petition

  • Must be an active registered voter in the State of Oregon at the time of signing the petition
  • Must be registered to vote in the same county as the other signers of a single signature sheet
